SRX26781664: Whole genome sequence of Clostridium perfringens: isolated from fecal sample of healthy birds
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 599,748 spots, 235.8M bases, 117.4Mb downloads

Design: Whole genome sequencing libraries were prepared using Nextera XT DNA Library Prep kit (Illumina, Doc# 15031942). Briefly, 12 ng of genomic DNA was fragmented using Nextera transposome and tagged with adapter sequences. The adapter-tagged DNA was amplified using a limited-cycle PCR program to add index adapters and sequences required for sequence cluster generation. The amplified libraries were purified using Sample Purification Beads. The purified libraries were then normalized and combined in equal molar ratios based on their DNA concentrations; the pooled fragments were used for sequencing. The pooled libraries were denatured with NaOH and diluted with hybridization buffer before sequencing.

Study: Whole genome sequencing of Clostridium perfringens from healthy and necrotic enteritis affected broiler chicken farms
show Abstracthide Abstract
We conducted whole genome sequencing of 27 Clostridium perfringens isolates recovered from both healthy and necrotic enteritis afflicted broiler chickens in Quebec province, Canada, to expand our knowledge about the genetic diversity and virulence traits of this pathogen.
Sample: Isolated from healthy bird
